THE ASSOCIATION DÈDALO ENSEMBLE ANNOUNCES THE RESULT OF THE SELECTION FOR THE CALL FOR SCORES
"MUSIC FROM A DISTANCE"
Four scores were selected among the 43 received, in alphabetical order:
Douglas Hedwig (U.S.A.): Antiphonal Songs for Wind Quartet and String Quartet (2021)
Paolo Ricci (Italy): Superficie di screziati specchi (II) for viola concertante and 6 instruments (2021)
Randall Snyder (U.S.A.): Distances Among Us for flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, horn, string quartet
Luca Vago (Italy): Squares for French horn and 8 instruments (2021)
The scores have been performed by dèdalo ensemble on October 17th 2021 under the direction of Carlos Ocaña, winner of the 2nd prize of the 2nd edition of the Città di Brescia-Giancarlo Facchinetti Competition
In memory of our honorary member Maestro Ivan Vandor recently passed away, whose composition "In penombra" (2001) has been performed during the evening.
